Daemun

Daemun is a lightweight application dashboard for self-hosted services. It is a fork of the upstream Homepage project, rebuilt around Hono, Vite, and React instead of the original Next.js runtime.

Fork compatibility

The detailed guides below were migrated from the inherited documentation. Compatibility names such as HOMEPAGE_ALLOWED_HOSTS, homepage.* Docker labels, and gethomepage.dev/* Kubernetes annotations are still documented because Daemun keeps those deployment contracts.

Current Runtime

• Hono serves the app and the existing /api/** route contracts.
• Vite builds the browser bundle and the server bundle.
• React renders the dashboard.
• Unlike upstream Homepage’s JS-first stack, Daemun is implemented as full TypeScript across app, server, and widget layers.
• Astro Starlight publishes this documentation as static HTML.
• Starlight search is explicitly backed by Pagefind.
